Lebanon’s new amnesty law has drawn accusations that it was tailored to benefit certain groups, potentially paving the way for around 3,000 former members of Antoine Lahad’s Army, branded traitors, for serving under Israeli Occupation command.

As the ceasefire in Lebanon shows signs of holding, Western and Hebrew media report that the Israeli military is considering a limited, largely symbolic withdrawal from several towns in southern Lebanon, pulling back to the so-called "Yellow Line" it established in April 2026.
